Very nice, authentic restaurant with a great ambience! My family and I felt very comfortable and were served very warmly and friendly. Despite Corona, it was like a little short vacation to Portugal! The food was delicious and more than adequate for the price. I can only recommend Alfama to everyone. A really nice, family restaurant where you feel right at home. Will definitely be back!

Was there with my boyfriend for the first time and felt like we were in Portugal. Both the skewer and the dorado were tasty and well presented. Staff friendly and had a schnapps on the house at the end. We'll be back again.

We had various tapas as a starter, which we liked. My children had sea bream for the main course, which was well received including side dishes. I had sole (€ 29) which in my experience was very well done. I also complained about that. After explaining that the fish was really prepared, I should contact you again later (?). Out of respect I cannot throw away such food. There was no sign of acceptance from the service, so we no longer go here. Too bad.

You forgot the risois as a starter;) ... and yet it's all human. Everything else just friendly and perfectly served / arranged. It tasted really good and the apology with two schnapps was accepted. Highly Recommended!

We find in this place the dishes of Portugal. We ate well and the waiter spoke a little French, and speaks English so easy to be understood.

The hygiene regulations are also very well observed. A great restaurant to be a bit closer to home or Portugal.

Excellent! Extremely friendly and funny service, even though we were not known, spent a sparkling wine on the wedding day. Food also 5 stars, fresh and hot and a lot. The salmon steak was super juicy and tender lamb. The dessert was in no way inferior to the main course. Prices not cheap, but worth every penny. We will be back definitely!

A beautifully decorated, authentic Portuguese restaurant. The dishes are extremely delicious - the traditional bacalhau, to which a glass of white wine "da casa" fits well, is highly recommended - and the portions are reasonable for the price. The only flaw was the service, which had echauffiert when paying about that the bill should be paid separately. Otherwise the Alfama is well worth a visit.

This was just great. It's an amazing Portuguese restaurant in Germany and it would be just as amazing in Portugal. The food quality is top and the waiter is super nice.

Every time that I stop by Cologne this restaurant is my first choice. Not only the best Portuguese restaurant in town but also one of the best ones in Germany.

Super!!!! Cousin!!! A delight!!! Bilingual service, Portuguese and German, to serve perfect, delicious and very cheap dishes. The quality of the products and the care with the dishes resemble our grandmother's house. If you are Brazilian or Portuguese and you miss the fried potato that only your grandmother would make for you, then run to Alfama. Everything is delicious, I would very much like to have space in my stomach to eat more and more. I dreamed of jumping on the neighbor's table and eating on his plate too !!! Scented food, cod loins super well served. The sole came whole to the dish, delicious and huge. The house wine, you have to taste it and it has green wine of the barrel !!! The milk pudding was meant to eat on his knees. I almost did not believe it when the bill came, very cheap !!!! The place is very cozy and the atmosphere family friendly. There Fado playing in the background adds a special touch to the dinner. Super recommend it. The place is perfect for a quiet and peaceful meal. I paid in cash, as almost always in Germany, normally. Excellent service, freshly prepared food.

Don't think some of the comments reflect well this restaurant. Is definitely a genuine Portuguese restaurant, the food is amazing with a lot of typical dishes and the prices are ok for Cologne and for the quality you get. The owners are really nice and make you feel home. I go there everytime I get home sick and I always feel that I should go there more often.

Excellent choice to come. Food is excellent and you feel a portuguese corner in Koln. You can appreciate portuguese music aswell. As a Portuguese, I completely recommend it as genuine.

Seems like a genuine portugese place. Staff is friendly, however it takes long to get the food and my bacalao was a bit dry. However other dishes were good, apparently the octopus was worth recommending.

Food lasts forever to come, and it's not even special. Taste okish for the price, really expensive. Service is horrible, we asked the waiter for the wifi password at least 5 times and no, it never was given.
